We overpacked and still had room. Took the team's advice and did the drive from Queenstown to Milford Sound on a clear day. Unreal. Only gripe: we didn't book for longer.
Everything we needed — we cooked most nights and saved a fortune. The team were great to deal with, always quick to reply when we had questions. Would definitely book again.
Having a proper kitchen and a real bed made all the difference — we could stay in places with no facilities at all. Already planning trip number two.
The Wanderer was great for our family of four — kids had their own sleeping area which was a game changer for us. Clean, everything worked, comms with the team were easy. Giving it four stars only because we wished pick-up could have been a bit earlier in the day so we could have got further on day one. Would definitely use them again though.
Pathfinder was in great nick, everything clean and working. Nice touch having outdoor chairs, towels, and a coffee plunger already there — meant we didn't have to buy a bunch of stuff for a two-week trip. Saved us easily $50-60 in bits and pieces. Small thing but it shows they've actually thought about what you need.
10 days in the Horizon around the North Island. They picked us up from Auckland Airport which was a good start — no taxi needed. Motorhome was clean and easy to drive. Did Coromandel for a few days then headed down to Tongariro. Found some great freedom camping spots along the way. Only thing — the Coromandel roads are pretty narrow so take it slow if you go that way. Good experience overall, would recommend.
